Protect Your Family From Lead in Your Home is the official disclosure document used to satisfy this requirement under the Residential Lead-Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act (Title X).

    This January 2026 edition reflects the most current EPA, HUD, and CPSC guidance and is the version that should be used in pre-1978 transactions today.

    What you don't know may hurt you!

    It is hard to think there is still lead-based paint issues in the housing market. This is a long-time issue but I'm glad it is coming to the forefront again. Lead poisoning is nothing to push to the side.

    This brochure is required for all buyers purchasing homes built before 1978. It is a useful tool if read in its entirety.
